Feeling Too Old For Online Dating?
I spoke with woman a couple of days ago who told me that since she had switched to SilverSingles.com that she had so many more contacts than other online dating sites she had used, and so quickly. She was thrilled! I spoke with her again today and she has met the man she truely believes is her soulmate. This is someone who had tried other popular sites, but she said with this online dating membership site things happened quickly and wonderfully. She couldn't be happier!
SilverSingles.com is relatively new, but the company that created them, American Singles is very well known and respected. I think it was incredibly wise of them to open up SilverSingles.com for all the babyboomers who are looking for love.
The bottom line is no matter what age you are, you have a choice with a great online dating membership site and yes you can find your love online!

Online Dating-Finding The Love Of Your Life
If you're like millions of women/men, you've made a decision that dating people online is probably the fastest, surest and most effective way to go.
This can be true, but you have to make sure of what it is you want before you go online to find the Love Of Your Life.
Make sure you are very clear on:
* What you do want and why. Make a list of the perfect mate for you. It is more imporatant to list everything first prior to the physical appearance. Why? If you find that pefect 'one' appearance is always secondary, unless that is all you care about and if that is the cast don't look for love, look for 'lust'.
* What you don't want. This list will go on the same page as what you do want, but cover such things as 'going out with the guys/girls, drugs, etc.
* Visualize and feel what it would feel like to have what you want, in your mind and in your heart. This is soooooooo important. When you know what it is you DO want and Do NOT want, you can almost see the person, feel them, touch them. Keep this inside of you and your heart and ask the God(s) to help you find this person.

Love Online - Is It Real?
Isn't it wonderful when you connect with someone special at an online dating site! You begin to message more often, spend more and more time sharing information, even talking about a phone call or meeting in person. Your free time is now spent more and more in front of the computer so you can be with that special someone. The two of you begin to tell each other how much you care. You may even say the "L" word.
It is easy to feel that you have fallen in love with the person you are communication with online. You probably have shared more about yourselves, your past, your dreams, your desires, etc., than you have shared with anyone else. You feel you really know each other, you feel so close, it's almost like you can hear their voice (if you haven't through the computer or phone) and you can almost feel their touch. Your heart races each time you start to talk. Yes, you are sure you are in love, but is it love or infatuation?
Good Question!
Infatuation is: fluttering of the heart; rise in body temperature; fluids flowing; the desire to be with that person forever and always (sounds like love too doesn't it)! If you stayed in this mode of communication for the rest of your lives you would be totally devoted to each other, there is no doubt about that. It is very hard to maintain this level, no matter what. The true test comes when you meet in person.

Baby Boomer Online Dating
I had a long talk with someone the other night who is in the "baby boomer" age range and wondering if online dating would work at this stage of their life. My answer was a very strong YES!! One of the great aspects of online dating is the ability to find people who are in your age range and wondering the same thing. Finding love, finding a 'soul mate', can happen at any stage (age) of your life.
My belief system is similar to the saying "when the student is ready the teacher will appear". In this case, when you are ready to find your love, your soul mate,will appear. You have to be open to that happening. Send out your 'vibes' to the universe that you are ready for this to happen, see it in your mind, and your heart that this will happen, and then go to the online dating site you have chosen and FEEL what you read.....FEEL what you see...it will happen.
Many of you who read the above will say to yourself "yah right". But trust me it is true. I am living proof.
First thing you have to do is decide who it is you are seeking. This is more important that deciding on what online dating site to use, at this point. Sit down and write out what it is you want in your mate. Start with the inner part (emotions, sense of humour, etc.) and then start working outwards. Unless physical appearance is the most important aspect of your 'mate', this needs to be the last on the list. We know that we will not always look as great as we do now, but someone who makes you laugh can make you happy for the rest of your life :-)
So "baby boomers" you are not past the point of finding someone..in fact in this day and age you have a much better chance than ever before because of online dating!
